A Little Note From Us
We’ll be headed off to our convention in about 5 days, and we think this activity would be great for families whose very young ones have trouble concentrating at the meetings or for a whole day (or several whole days) at the convention.
When you’re used to running your little legs around all day, it can be hard to muster up the strength to stay calm & quiet during a convention.
This printable coloring book is small enough for tiny hands and only 2 pages to print. It’s easy to assemble and takes literally only 3 snips with a pair of scissors.
No glue is involved, just some simple folding and you’re done! This is great for those of us on a budget or who just want something simple and quick that your little ones can use.
These are images from another more extensive project we’re still working on, but thought the line art would make beautiful coloring pages. So here it is, please enjoy!
How To Assemble The Book
The photos below will show you how easy it is to assemble this freebie, it will take you no more than 3-5 minutes.
Print out the two sheets of paper. Simple!
Fold each sheet in half so that the white blank side is on the inside of the fold.
Fold in half again so that David & Sarah are both inside the fold.
Do the same with Eve and Moses: They should be folded inside of the fold as pictured.
After you finish folding, you should have two book halves like this.
Next, you’ll notice that there are little dotted lines on each book half.
These will be the lines that you cut so that the books can go together.
Be careful to cut only where indicated by the dotted line. Try not to go over too much!
You can do the same for the other dotted line shown below.
This dotted line is longer, and needs to be cut. You can cut along this line by folding the booklet
in half and just cutting a thin line along the side through all the folded layers.
You should end up with this! Next, you’ll want to take the booklet with the cover
page and bend it in half as pictured below.
and slip it between the the open space that you cut in the other pages as pictured above.
Then, straighten the paper out so that the cut spaces on the one page fit snugly into the other.
Fold over so that the front cover is on top and you’re all done!
This mini coloring book is now ready for little hands to doodle all over it!
