Satan didn’t design this system of things for peace, so it shouldn’t surprise us that it’s full of people who aren’t peaceable. The Bible told us this would happen. It’s prophecy playing out exactly as described, and in these last days our peace is going to be challenged regularly.
But here’s what we have to remember. Our peace comes from Jehovah and it is something worth protecting. When we allow ourselves to be pulled into arguing, gossip, slander, contentiousness, we’re not just having a bad day. We’re actively doing things that cause holy spirit to flee. We can’t walk in those things and expect to keep that peace at the same time. It doesn’t work that way.
Don’t be goaded. Don’t be tricked into handing over something that precious. The world will keep offering opportunities to lose it. We don’t have to take them.
