Jehovah has given us everything. Our lives, our future hope, the truth. There’s really nothing we could offer someone who created all things and has unlimited power.
And yet there is one thing. We can make him happy. We can live in a way that brings him joy, that he looks down on and takes pride in. That’s not a small thing to Jehovah. He actually cares how we’re doing, how we’re living, whether we’re close to him. Someone with everything still wants that from us.
That he would even allow us to give him something in return. That’s what love looks like.
