With the Memorial just days away, we find ourselves reflecting not just on what Jesus did, but on what it means. What it actually holds out to us.
During his ministry Jesus gave us a preview. He healed the sick, raised the dead, calmed the sea. He wasn’t just demonstrating power, he was showing us what’s coming. What Jehovah has purposed for this earth under Jesus’ rule. Perfect health. No death. No grief, no pain, no suffering. Living forever on a paradise earth exactly as Jehovah always intended.
We know Jehovah has never broken a promise. Not one. So as we sit at the Memorial this year and reflect on the enormous cost of that promise, we can also sit with the certainty that it’s coming. Every bit of it.
