Teen Depression First Aid Kit

The AWAKE! NO. 1 for 2017 is all about teen depression. And it was definitely needed.

In a time period where we hear so much about teens & the troubles, dangers & pressure they face at school, teen depression is a serious issue.

Fortunately the organization has loving created this magazine to help teens combat depression! If you haven’t yet, you can read it online at JW.org: Teen Depression—Why? What Can Help?

One of the wonderful suggestions that stood out to us was the encouragement for Teens to create an “emotional first aid kit” that would help them to control their thoughts & negative feelings if they become overcome with depression or just feeling down.

Today’s printable is our version of that suggestion! Since it is called a first aid kit, we’ve designed it as if it were an actual first aid kit for a little fun touch!

If you are a teen, you can print it out yourself or if you’re the friend or parent of a teen or know teens in your congregation who would love this you can print it out and give it as a gift to all of them.

What’s included:

Name six JW experiences I can relate to
Name 6 encouraging Bible Verses that I love
10 Spiritual goals I have to look forward to

  1. Thank u SOOOO much! Honestly, it is a real gift being able to get these things to give to our teens in the congregation. Two of the girls especially are going through a tough time. I printed this out yesterday for them and am putting it together today so that I can give it to them at the meeting on Friday! So awesome! Thanks for sharing your love and creativity!

  2. Thank you so much for this, I realised you had this on your page and I was super excited to see it! I suffer from chronic depression and I showed this to my mom and she loved the idea so thank you!
