Say hello to the first free printable of the new year! A printable ministry meal planner for those of us who love to plan our meals in the ministry.
Spending long days in the ministry has always been one of my truest joys. It says a lot that some of my most favorite memories are of long service days with friends. We’d wake up at 5 am, and meet our Early Morning friends at 6:30 and enjoy hot coffee and breakfast together then hit the gas stations in the city at 7am.
Many Bible studies were started reaching people in the dark hours of the morning. Then we’d meet with the service group in the morning for some door to door at 9:30 and swap up our car groups. Of course, snacks were always passed around as we worked through to day to keep our energy up. This is how we were introduced to wasabi peas and chocolate covered coffee beans -favorites to this day!
Around 11:30 is when we’d have lunch. One of my friends used to love eating Granny Smith apples smothered in peanut butter while some others would have heavier lunches -whatever would give us the energy to keep going! After lunch, we’d meet back with the group at 12 to rearrange groups and head out to do a few more doors until 3 in the evening -snacking all the way. Then the evening group would get together and we’d spend the rest of the day doing calls and Bible studies until 7pm.
Spending so much time in the Ministry meant that we couldn’t leave our meals to chance. So most of our friends had schedules and took their meal prep pretty seriously. Packed lunches were a big thing! Doing this meant they’d have the clarity of mind and the energy to make the most of their ministry as a whole without wasting time trying to figure out when and where they’d eat.
If you have trouble with ministry meal prep, want to start trying to plan your ministry meals, or if you’re looking to be a little more economical in how you spend in the ministry, this printable is just for you.
