Jehovah is not disloyal. He is fair. And he genuinely loves to give, loves to show appreciation, loves to reward. Where do we think we got that from? He made us like him.
Just as we feel something when someone we love puts in effort for us and we want to acknowledge it, Jehovah feels that too. And he acts on it. He doesn’t only bless the grand gestures, the ones at Bethel, the pioneers, the ones doing things that look impressive from the outside. He blesses every effort. The humble ones. The quiet ones. The ones nobody else even notices.
What matters to him is what’s behind it. If our heart is genuinely in it, if love for him is the real motive, he sees that and he responds to that. Every single time.
